Search for missing man in Crystal Crescent area continues til dark Thursday

Halifax – More than 24 hours later, and ground search and rescue teams are still looking for Wallace Brannen.
Officials tell News 95-7 there are still about sixty members scouring the woods and along the shoreline in the area of Crystal Crescent and there are still two aircraft actively involved in the search.
Tony Rodgers says there has been no sign of the 62-year old or any suggested direction of travel. He says they’ll be reassessing the status of the search by sunset Thursday.
He says they decided not to bring in searchers from New Brunswick, which had been one of the options they were weighing earlier today.
The search for the man was launched after his car was found in in the Crystal Crescent Beach parking lot Wednesday morning.
He is described as white, five-foot-seven to five-foot-eight, about 175 pounds, with short grey hair and beard.
