The first weekend of July brings drivers in Nova Scotia a drop in the price of gasoline.

The provincial regulator has moved the price per litre down by 2.5 cents to a new minimum price of $137.3.

After a couple of weeks of stability, diesel prices have also fallen, by 3.7 cents a litre to $1.32.

One year ago we were paying $1.30 for a litre of gasoline and $1.28 for diesel.

Oil was trading at $101.24 U.S. per barrel, which is just under $3 less than yesterday’s close of $103.98.
