Drop in pump prices expected this week

The downward trend in gasoline prices in Nova Scotia will continues this week.

Our newsroom is predicting that when fuel prices are adjusted at midnight, the cost for a self-serve will fall by 2 cents a litre.

George Murphy of Consumers for Fair Gas Prices told News 95.7 a large amount of oil is on the markets, driving prices down.

“A heavy increase in U.S. domestic production of oil, there’s an awful lot of oil out there in the markets,” said Murphy.

Regulated prices in New Brunswick dropped overnight by 2.9 cents a litre to a new maximum price of $130.9.
