Big drop in gas prices heading into long weekend

A major drop in the price of gasoline heading into the Thanksgiving Day long weekend.

The UARB used its weekly adjustment to lower the regulated minimum price at the pump by 6.2 cents to $1.29.

The change means that a 50-litre fill up is $3.10 cheaper today than it was yesterday.

There was no change in price for those needing diesel, the minimum price for fuel remains at $128.1 for a second consecutive week.

A year ago we were paying $1.28 for gasoline and $1.33 for diesel, oil was trading at $103.01 U.S. per barrel, just about $19 more than yesterday’s closing price of $84.15.
