Cole Harbour break-in investigated by RCMP

Halifax RCMP are investigating at a break-in at a home in Cole Harbour that occurred while the homeowner was in the house.

It happened just before 2:30 p.m. Thursday on Shrewsbury Road.

Police say two men entered the home and were confronted by the homeowner, who was not assaulted.

However, police say in a statement the suspects took “items of property” from the home.

Police describe the suspects as men, approximately 20 years old.

The driver is described as black, while the passenger is white.

The vehicle was an older four-door car, brown or dark gold in colour with dark, tinted windows.

The car had “noticeable damage” to the rear door on the driver’s side, according to police, and the suspects drove off in the direction of Caldwell Road.

Anyone with information is asked to call RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
