Gas prices: slight drop expected at midnight in NS

The downward trend in gasoline prices in Nova Scotia will continue this week.
News 95.7 is predicting that when prices are adjusted at midnight Thursday night, they will fall by about a penny per litre.
George Murphy of Consumers for Fair Gas Prices tells News 95.7 a big meeting of oil producers could have an impact on the markets.
“We’re seeing an internal fight starting to flare up, of course, with some of the OPEC members,” said Murphy.
“While OPEC is talking about the possibility of cuts, Saudi Arabia and Iraq are two countries within the OPEC realm that are talking about not cutting.”
Across the border in New Brunswick, the price for a litre of regular self-serve gasoline increased by nine tenths of a cent to a new maximum price of 119.8 cents per litre.
