Snow-covered roofs causing concern

With the recent collapse of the roof at the Halifax Curling Club, many people are wondering if their own roof is at risk.
Glenn Wright with Four Season Roofing told The Rick Howe Show there are a couple of concerning signs you can look for.
“If you have some signs, such as some windows that worked very well then all of a sudden aren’t working so well, or doors that are starting to stick, that is a sign that there’s weight distribution going on in your home,” said Wright.
Wright said what you’re shoveling off of your driveway, is the same stuff that is sitting on your roof.
He said most of the roofs are engineered for big snow loads, but depending on accumulation, there may be cause for concern.
Wright said if you’re uncomfortable, you should call a professional.
