Another jump at the pump

The upward trend in the price of gasoline continues in Nova Scotia.

The UARB has used its weekly adjustment to move the price per litre up by 3.7 cents to a new minimum price of 111.6.

The change means a 50 litre fill-up will cost you $1.85 more today than it did just yesterday.

The news is better for those needing diesel, fuel prices dropped at midnight by 1.8 cents moving the minimum price down to $1.24.

One year ago, we were paying $1.39 for a litre of gasoline, diesel was selling at $1.42.  Oil was trading on the markets at $101.86 U.S per barrel, over $50 per barrel more than yesterday closing price of $50.94.
