17-year-old hit by car in Bedford

Regional Police are investigating a vehicle-pedestrian collision in Bedford that happened Thursday morning.

Police were called to the intersection of Rockmanor Drive and Rocky Lake Drive just after 8 a.m. to find a 17-year-old boy suffering from injuries he sustained after being hit by a car.

Police say the teen was crossing the street in a marked crosswalk at the time.

He was taken from the scene by ambulance for treatment of what police call non-life threatening injuries.

A 51-year-old woman has been ticketed for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
