Springvale Elementary closing for the day

Halifax Regional School Board has had to close Springvale Elementary for the day because a failed sump pump.

Spokesperson Doug Hadley says there’s about an inch of water on the building’s bottom floor caused by ground water infiltration.

HRSB will decide later if the school will be open tomorrow.
