Cabela’s coming to Halifax-area

After a successful launch in Moncton last month, word this week that outdoor retail giant Cabela’s will open a store in Halifax.
The chain announced late Tuesday it’s planning 50,000-square-foot store at Dartmouth Crossing near the intersection of Lakeview Drive and Wright Ave.
Construction is expected to begin next year with plans to open the store sometime in 2017.
According to a news release, the store expects to employ approximately 150 full-time, part-time and seasonal employees.
Cabela’s sells hunting, fishing and camping gear.
