Efficiency Nova Scotia’s website has been taken down after being targeted by hackers.

The organization says they discovered an issue Friday, and worked on it throughout the weekend.

By Monday, they discovered the site had been the target of a hacker attack and they took it offline as a precautionary measure.

“We are in the process of restoring our website, and an independent review is already underway to understand how this happened and what additional steps we can take to prevent a similar attack in the future,” said spokesperson Amelia Warren in a news release.

Efficiency Nova Scotia said anyone looking for information on programs and services can contact them directly by calling 1-877-999-6035, emailing info@efficiencyns.ca, or visiting their Facebook page.
