Cornwallis Park, N.S — RCMP have arrested a 25 year old man wanted on numerous break and enter charges in both Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. Justin Jody Dempster of Clementsport was arrested at a house Tuesday morning in Cornwallis Park.
Police had been looking for Dempster since October for breach of conditions and numerous break and enters in the Hampton and Saint John areas of New Brunswick and Digby and Annapolis County areas in Nova Scotia.
Dempster is suspected of stealing vehicles and ATV’s, alledgedly taking advantage of what police described as crimes of opportunity during daylight hours involving unlocked buildings or vehicles.
The past few months have been very difficult for the residents of Annapolis, Digby and Metaghan according to Supt. Sylvie Bourassa-Muise, RCMP Southwest Nova District Policing Officer.
“There was a tremendous amount of work and coordination between detachments, much of which the public has not seen that resulted in this successful outcome.” said Supt. Bourassa-Muise in a release Tuesday.
RCMP are also thanking residents for their patience, cooperation and assistance in helping police locate Dempster.
Dempster will appear in Annapolis Royal Provincial Court Wednesday to face numerous charges of Break and Enter and Breach of Conditions.
