Police look for two suspects in downtown mugging

HALIFAX – Regional Police are looking for two suspects after a man was mugged walking near downtown Halifax on Tuesday evening.
Just before 8 p.m., police said a man was walking near Cogswell Street and Albemarle Street when two men approached him and demanded money. The man handed over a small amount of cash and was threatened not to call police.
The suspects fled the area and could not be found.
The first suspect is described as a white man in his 20’s who had a scruffy beard, was wearing a ball cap with flat brim, a white hooded sweater, dark coloured baggy jeans and smelled of alcohol.
The second man is said to be black and in his 20’s with a scruffy beard, wearing a black hooded sweater and dark coloured pants with a mullet style haircut.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
