Voice actor Hank Azaria to give commencement speech at Tufts

MEDFORD, Mass. – Comedian and voice actor Hank Azaria has been picked to deliver the commencement address at Tufts University this spring.
Azaria, a Tufts alumnus known for voicing a host of characters on the animated TV series “The Simpsons,” is scheduled to address graduates May 22.
University President Anthony Monaco in a statement called Azaria a “one-of-a-kind talent” whose creativity demonstrates the power of dramatic art.
On “The Simpsons,” Azaria has voiced several notable characters including bar-owner Moe Szyslak (SIZ’-lak) and police Chief Clancy Wiggum.
The five-time Emmy winner has also acted in movies including “The Birdcage” and “Pretty Woman.” He currently appears on the Showtime series “Ray Donovan.”
Azaria majored in drama at Tufts and graduated in 1987. At commencement, he will receive an honorary doctor of humane letters degree.
