Environment Canada issued a freezing drizzle advisory for several counties in Nova Scotia, including Halifax.
They expect the freezing drizzle to continue Tuesday afternoon along the Atlantic coast and some inland areas, before changing over to snow this evening, and tapering off overnight.
They say poor driving conditions are likely as highways, roads, sidewalks and parking lots become slippery.
Halifax Regional Municipality will continue enforcement of their winter parking ban overnight into Wednesday.
Overnight snowfall caused several closures and cancellations Tuesday morning.
