Halifax Regional Police believe there are people who have information that could help them solve a 25-year-old murder investigation.
Shelley Denise Connors was last seen leaving her family's Spryfield apartment on River Road the afternoon of May 29, 1993.
When the 17-year-old didn't return or call her family by the next day, they reported her missing.
Officers found Shelley's body on the evening of June 1, 1993 about 182 metres (200 yards) behind the Spryfield Lions Rink on Drysdale Road. She was discovered in a wooded area partially covered with leaves and branches.
“Investigators have continued to work the case, following up on leads and applying new technologies to find out who was responsible for murdering Shelley,” said HRP in a news release.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 902-490-5016 or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
This case is part of the Nova Scotia Department of Justice Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes Program which offers up to $150,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible.
