By Chris Halef

SYDNEY, N.S. – Raphael Lavoie scored two goals on Friday night to help lead the Halifax Mooseheads to a 4-2 victory over the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles at Centre 200.

Cape Breton struck first with Mathias Laferriere scoring on a power play near the end of the opening period.

Raphael Lavoie eventually responded near the midway point of the second to tie it up at 1-1, but not long before Adam McCormick scored on another Cape Breton power play.

Halifax came out swinging in the third, with Lavoie and Samuel Asselin each finding the back of Cape Breton's net. Arnaud Durandeau scored an empty netter to seal the 4-2 victory.

The Mooseheads are back in action on Sunday when they visit the Moncton Wildcats
