No cannabis smoking allowed at the airport

The Halifax International Airport Authority says cannabis use will not be allowed on airport property when it becomes legal.
This includes the designated areas outside the Halifax Stanfield International Airport terminal building where tobacco smoking is allowed.
As of Wednesday, passengers are allowed to bring up to 30 grams of recreational cannabis if they are travelling within Canada. It can be packed in either carry-on or checked luggage.
If a passenger has more than 30 grams of medical marijuana, they will be asked to present medical documentation.
Like any other liquid, cannabis oil will limited to 100 ml at security screening.
However, the airport authority says it will still be a serious criminal offence to take cannabis across national borders when entering or leaving the country.
“If you are legally travelling within Canada with cannabis, and your flight is diverted into the United States, you may be required to disembark from the aircraft and go through U.S. Customs,” the airport authority wans on their website. “You should be aware that in these circumstances you will be subject to applicable United States law regarding cannabis possession.”
They added, just like with alcohol, airline employees have the ability to refuse service to any travellers who are believed to be impaired.
