ATV causes house fire in Terence Bay : officials (update)

A Terence Bay home sustained significant damage after a fire Monday afternoon. 

Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency crews responded to the blaze around 1:30 p.m. on Terence Bay Rd. 

Officials say an ATV stored under the deck caught fire and flames spread to the roof. 

No one in the home was injured in the fire. 

Terence Bay Road was closed to traffic for several hours, reopening around 5:30 p.m.
