One man bashed with baseball bat, another hit by car during fight, RCMP say

RCMP say one man was bashed with a baseball bat and another was hit by a car during a fight in Eastern Passage last weekend.
Mounties were called to Cow Bay Rd. at around 7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 31.
Arriving officers found one of the injured men on the side of the road and the other in a nearby driveway.
Police believe one man was visiting the other when the fight broke out.
“The altercation resulted in the visitor striking the homeowner in the head with a baseball bat and threatening other occupants,” said RCMP in a news release.
“The homeowner then got into his vehicle and struck the visitor who was walking on the side of the road.”
Both men were left with non-life threatening injuries.
The homeowner, 41-year-old James Eanis Phillip Collins, was scheduled to appear in court today. He's been charged with attempted murder, assault with a weapon, dangerous operation causing bodily harm and driving while disqualified.
The visitor, 28-year-old Tyler John Wayne Beaton, is scheduled in court on Thursday to face charges of assault with a weapon, criminal harassment and uttering threats to cause death.
