Mooseheads defeat Voltigeurs 4-3 in OT

The Halifax Mooseheads picked up a 4-3 overtime win over the Drummondville Voltigeurs on Thursday.

Zachary L'Heureux opened up the scoring midway through the opening period.

Charles-Antoine Dumont eventually tied things up for the Voltigeurs in the second period but Markus Vidicek answered back to restore Halifax's lead.

Senna Peeters added to Halifax's lead late in the second period to make it 3-1.

Jacob Dion scored back-to-back goals to tie things up for Drummondville in the third period, forcing overtime where Cameron Whynot netted the game winner for the Mooseheads.

The Mooseheads are back in the Scotiabank Centre on Saturday when they welcome the Victoriaville Tigres.
