3 men charged after stealing firearms from Burnside business

Three men have been charged in relation to a break and enter where firearms were stolen from a Dartmouth business in November.

On Nov. 25 at around 3:45 a.m., police responded to a triggered alarm at Nova Tactical on Windmill Road in Burnside.

The incident saw a number of firearms stolen but the suspects escaped the scene before police arrived.

Three men have been arrested following a Halifax Regional Police investigation: 26-year-old Alexander Paul MacDougall, 34-year-old Tyrell Ramone Beals and 39-year-old Tremaine Daniel Colley. They face the following charges:

  • Break and enter to steal firearms
  • Mischief (property damage)
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm (x16)
  • Possession of a firearm knowing it is unauthorized (x16)
  • Trafficking in firearms (x16)
  • Transferring a firearm without authority (x16)

Both Beals and Colley also face 16 counts each of possession of a firearm contrary to a court order.

Halifax Regional Police says the stolen firearms have not yet been recovered.
