Mooseheads win at home, defeating Wildcats 5-3

The Halifax Mooseheads are back in the win column, picking up a 5-3 win over the Moncton Wildcats at home on Monday.
The Mooseheads' got off to a quick start as Jordan Dumais and James Swan scored early in the first period to give the Herd a 2-0 lead.
Miles Mueller brought the Wildcats within one late in the period to make it 2-1.
After a scoreless second period, Elliot Desnoyers added to Halifax's lead but not long before Alexis Daniel brought Moncton within one.
Brooklyn Kalmikov later tied things up for the Wildcats but Evan Boucher quickly restored Halifax's lead with his first goal on home ice in Halifax.
Mathieu Cataford extended the Herd's lead late in the third period to make it a 5-3 final.
The Mooseheads will make their way to Charlottetown to take on the Islanders on Wednesday.
