Single vehicle crash affecting traffic early Tuesday afternoon (update: reopened)

UPDATE: As of 3:42 p.m., Halifax Regional Police say both the 102 and 103 have reopened to traffic.

A crash is affecting traffic Tuesday afternoon.

Halifax Regional Police were called to the single vehicle collision on Highway 103 outbound near the offramp to Lakelands Boulevard before noon.

As of 1 p.m., police say the Highway 102 outbound offramp to Highway 103 is closed and drivers are being redirected down Highway 102. 

Highway 103 inbound traffic is being redirected at Exit 3 to the Timberlea Village Parkway.

And the onramp to Highway 103 inbound to Halifax from St. Margarets Bay Road is closed to traffic and being redirected further down St. Margarets Bay Road. 

HRP expect these closures to be in effect for “an extended period of time.”
