Sunny start to Spring in Halifax

By Mark Hodgins

Don't let the door hit you on the way out, winter.

Spring arrives in Halifax at 6:24 p.m. on Monday with the Spring Equinox, and it looks like the new season is bringing the sun with it.

“It's going to be a sunny first day of spring here in Halifax, and there's a lot of sunshine in the forecast for the next couple of days, so soak up that vitamin D,” said CityNews weather specialist Denise Andreacchi.

Andreacchi says Halifax is forecast to see sunny skies and 7 and 5 degrees highs on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively.

But things are never so simple here in Nova Scotia when it comes to the weather. Andreacchi says we could see snow later in the week – although it looks like it may be mixed in with some rain.
