Roads washed out, some businesses impacted by flooding in Bedford

The Sackville River has overflowed in the Bedford area amid torrential downpours in the area.
Business owners at Bedford Place Mall were sharing photos and video of flooding in some stores. The mall parking lot had essentially turned into a lake.
The mall itself posted to social media that it had suffered some flooding and serious leaks, but there had been no collapse as was initially reported on Friday.
“It has been a terrible night for our community,” Mayor Mike Savage said in a tweet. “Still some rain coming down, emergency crews remain active.”
