Charges laid against two people after firearms seized in Dartmouth

Two people are facing a long list of charges after the search of a home in Dartmouth over the weekend.

Halifax Regional Police said the search, involving a home and vehicles on Mountain Ave., happened around 4 a.m. on Sunday.

Two people were arrested at the scene after police seized two firearms and ammunition.

James Albert Riley, 26, is facing several charges related to the possession and unsafe storage of firearms and ammunition. A second person, not identified by police, is facing several related charges as well.

Riley appeared in court on Monday, while the second accused will be in court at a later date.
