Newest Mooseheads player scores game winner in overtime

The Halifax Mooseheads made up from Saturday night’s loss with a win against the Charlottetown Islanders on Sunday afternoon at Eastlink Centre in overtime by a score of 3-2.

While the first period was scoreless, Markus Vidicek put the Herd on the board in the second.

Giovanni Morneau of the Islanders tied up the game later in the same period and Ross Campbell of the Isles and Mathieu Cataford tied the game at 2-2 in the third.

The overtime goal was scored by former Cataractes player Lou Felix Denis, notching his first goal as a member of the Herd.

The Mooseheads will have some time off before hitting the ice again at home on January 13th to face the Quebec Remparts.
