Mooseheads come back to defeat Remparts 3-2

By CityNews Halifax Staff

The Halifax Mooseheads came back from behind to defeat the Quebec Remparts 3-2 on Sunday.

Xavier Lebel opened up the scoring with less than a minute left in the opening frame to make it 1-0 Quebec.

The Mooseheads got on the board in the second period thanks to Mathieu Cataford who netted his 37th of the season.

Daniel Agostino eventually put the Remparts back up by one before the end of the second period.

Lou-Félix Denis and Peter Reynolds helped give Halifax their first lead of the game early in the third period with back-to-back goals.

That would do it as the Herd managed to hang on for the remainder of the period to leave Quebec on a winning note.

The Mooseheads are back in the Scotiabank Centre on Wednesday when they welcome the Cape Breton Eagles.
