Halifax St. Patrick’s Day Parade cancelled for 2025

The Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Halifax has been cancelled this year.

Organizers announced on the event’s Facebook page that the parade will not take place as scheduled in March.

Parade organizer Sue Uteck explained that changes to the route required new approvals from various departments, including fire, police, Public Works, and Traffic Services. Unfortunately, the necessary permits were not secured in time.

“We look forward to a full parade next year,” said Uteck.

Last year’s event marked the 17th annual parade.

The parade is usually held on the Saturday closest to St. Patrick’s Day.
