Wet weather expected to linger around HRM through the weekend

The run of wet weekend weather will continue around Halifax Regional Municipality.

Allister Aalders,95.7 NewsRadio weather specialist, says there will be some sunny breaks on Friday, but also some showers and a chance of a thunderstorm. Temperatures will be around 25 C with the humidex.

“I think most of Saturday is dry with a chance of a shower through the day,” said Aalders. “The wettest weather will move through Saturday night. We will see some steadier rain and showers moving through Saturday evening and night, with some embedded downpours producing about 15 to 30 millimetres of rain.”

Sunday will bring a mix of sun and cloud, with the possibility of a lingering shower or two.

Aalders says temperatures will fall through the weekend, returning to seasonal normals of around 20 C.
