Man tased during arrest after robbery in Enfield

The RCMP says officers used a conducted energy weapon (taser) during the arrest of a man in connection with an armed robbery in Enfield over the weekend.

Police say the robbery happened early on Sunday morning at a business on Highway 2 in Enfield. They say a man armed with mace, robbed the store of cigarettes and cash before running off.

According to the Mounties, a drone was used to later locate and arrest Daniel Albert Gibson, 28, of Enfield. They say Gibson was tased after trying to flee during the arrest and was treated in hospital before being released to police.

Gibson is facing a long list of charges and was expected to appear in court on Tuesday.
