Gas and diesel see price drops overnight

Nova Scotia residents have awakened to lower fuel prices in the province ahead of the weekend.

In its weekly adjustment, the Nova Scotia Energy Board decreased the price of regular self-serve gasoline by 1.8 cents to 136.2 cents per litre in Halifax.

Diesel seeing a more significant shift with that fuel dropping by 5.4 cents to 181.8 cents per litre on Friday at midnight.

At this time last year, motorists were paying 1.63 for gas and 191.6 for diesel.
