Police investigate shots fired in North Preston

Police are asking for the public’s help as they investigate reports of shots being fired in the community of North Preston.

According to the RCMP, officers of the Halifax Regional Detachment were dispatched to the community on Friday afternoon after receiving reports of the incident near Amos Walter and Downey drives.

Officers say they discovered shell casings at the scene.

There were no reports of injuries and no obvious property damage.

The investigation, which is being led by the General Investigative Section of the RCMP/HRP Integrated Criminal Investigation Division, is ongoing.
