Human remains found near Long Lake in Halifax

Early Wednesday morning Halifax police found human remains in the municipality.
According to a release, the remains were found around 7:55 a.m. in the area of Long Lake near Old Sambro Road in the city’s southwest end.
“At this time, the remains have not been positively identified,” officials said.
The investigation, still in its infancy, is being worked on by officers and the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner’s office, which will determine the manner and cause of death.
Police say they suspect no evidence of foul play.
