N.S. gas prices expected to fall two cents

Gas should cost you a little less for the next week.

News 95.7 is predicting regulated prices will fall by about two cents a litre tonight, moving the price of regular self-serve to $1.25 in metro.

Although crude oil prices have risen sharply in the last week – closing at just over $102 U.S. a barrel on Wednesday –  wholesale gas prices have plummeted.

In New Brunswick, regulated prices fell by 2.3 cents a litre overnight to a new maximum of $1.245. Diesel prices went up 2.9 cents a litre to $1.439.

In Toronto, unregulated prices were expected to go up overnight by a penny to an average of $1.20 a litre.
