A couple of men who broke into a North End Halifax home Friday evening had a surprise waiting for them when they left the house – the police!
At about 10:15 p.m. officers responded to a break and enter call in the 5000 block of Buddy Daye St.
Once there, they arrested a 38-year-old man from Dartmouth and a 20-year-old man from Halifax.
They also seized a handgun.
The accused face break and enter charges and will appear in court at the end of November.
