Four francophone schools to close in western NS

HALIFAX – Over the next five years, four francophone elementary schools in western Nova Scotia are set to close.
The province’s Acadian school board says two schools in the Municipality of the District of Clare will close next year and two more schools in the area will be closed by September of 20-22.
The schools are École Joseph-Dugas in Church Point, École Jean-Marie-Gay in Saulnierville, École Stella-Maris in Meteghan and École Saint-Albert in Salmon River.
The board says a new school will be opened to accommodate the students affected by the closures.
The four schools were the only ones looked at as part of the school review process.
