Screaming Eagles defeat Mooseheads 4-3

SYDNEY, N.S. – The Halifax Mooseheads’ losing streak increased to four straight games on Friday night, as the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles topped the Herd 4-3 at Centre 200.

After a scoreless first period, Filip Zadina lit the lamp in the second period, with Cape Breton responding minutes later to knot it up at 1-1.

Thirty-eight seconds into the third period, the Screaming Eagles got it between the pipes to take a 2-1 lead.

Cape Breton extended their lead with two more goals, but Halifax responded with two quick goals from Connor Moynihan and Zadina to make it a one goal game.

But the Screaming Eagles managed to hang on for the remainder of the period, to win 4-3, handing Halifax their fourth straight loss.

On Saturday, the roles are reversed, as the Mooseheads host Cape Breton at the Scotiabank Centre.
