Condé Nast Traveller has named Halifax one of the most underrated cities in Canada.
“Halifax has always been known as an oceanside escape with ample seafood and kind locals,” the magazine says, “but the city has recently undergone a renaissance of sorts putting it at the forefront of sophistication in Eastern Canada.”
It points to the addition of the Queen's Marque development along the waterfront, bringing with it, the Muir Hotel.
“Here you'll find elevated but friendly east coast service, fine art and decor from local Nova Scotian artists in each of the 109 rooms and suites, and a halo-therapy room with Atlantic sea salt to bring the ocean indoors,” it states.
The article aim is to highlight some of the “coolest cities in Canada that don't always get the limelight they deserve.”
Joining Halifax on the list are Winnipeg, Banff, Quebec City, Victoria, Ottawa and Moncton.
