Fire crews extinguish house fire in Cole Harbour

Halifax fire crews responded to a house fire in Cole Harbour on Monday night.

According to the Halifax Professional Fire Fighters Association, at 10:17 p.m., members from Station 17 arrived to a house engulfed in flames on Arklow Drive.

Officials said heavy fire was showing on the back and side of the house, adding crews quickly deployed multiple hoses to knockdown exterior flames before moving inside to completely extinguish the blaze.

HPFF said a second alarm was called but ultimately not needed.
