Halifax school bus driver ticketed after hitting pedestrian

A Halifax school bus driver has been ticketed after hitting a pedestrian with the vehicle on Friday morning, according to Halifax Regional Police.

In a statement, police say the incident happened around 7:30 a.m. in the area of Quinpool Road and Kline Street on the peninsula.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital with what are described by police as non-life-threatening injuries.

There were reportedly no children on board the bus at the time of the collision.

The bus driver was issued a summary offence ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a marked crosswalk, according to HRP.
