Missing senior that prompted emergency alert found safe

A missing vulnerable person that prompted an emergency alert late Wednesday in the Halifax area has been found safe.

Around 12:30 a.m., RCMP sent out a release saying that the 75-year-old person reported missing from Musquodoboit Harbour had been safely located.

Police had said earlier that the person had been last seen around 5:30 p.m. in the Musquodoboit Harbour Railway area.

In the release, the RCMP thanked Nova Scotians for their assistance through social media shares and offering tips.
