Small drop in gas prices expected at midnight

Some relief on the way at the gasoline pumps this week.
News 95.7 is predicting a drop of about a cent a litre when the UARB adjusts prices at midnight tonight.
George Murphy of Consumers for Fair Gas Prices thinks it will take a while to claw back the 10 cent-a-litre increase that we’ve seen over the past two weeks.
He says, “I think it’s going to be a very gradual decrease and this is just part of it”.
Murphy also points out hurricane season is just around the corner, which could push up the price.
Regulated prices for gasoline have dropped by 1.7 cents a litre in New Brunswick, moving the maximum price to 135.7.
