Gas prices expected to fall

The recent run of gas price increases could come to an end tonight.

Although wholesale prices have been pretty steady for the last week, News 95.7 is predicting a drop in the retail price of about a penny a litre.

That will move the price of regular self-serve to $1.15 in metro.

In New Brunswick, prices fell by a penny and a half overnight to about $1.07 a litre.

That means the price gap between Nova Scotia and New Brunswick has reached nearly nine cents a litre.

Last week, prices in Nova Scotia rose unexpectedly to a new two-year high.
