RIVERVIEW, N.B. – Riverview town council has approved its $26-million general operating budget for 2014.
Council will hold the tax rate steady, but residents will see their water and sewer bills go up $35 from last year.
The increase will allow the town to put some money into reserves, but will also be spent on scheduled water main projects.
Some last minute changes were made before council approved the budget including the deferral of the purchase of a fire truck to 2015 and a slight increase in a grant to the Capitol Theatre.
