Health care practitioner facing an additional sexual assault charge

A Halifax health care practitioner is facing another charge of sexual assault.

A woman contacted police on October 15 to report she had been sexually assaulted in May of 2017 at the Qing Li Chinese Therapy Clinic on Dresden Row.

Xiao Han Li was taken into custody Thursday at police headquarters on Gottingen Street.

The 32-year-old is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court on one count of sexual assault.

“Out of respect and concern for the victim's privacy and wellbeing, we are not releasing any further details regarding the incidents,” said police in a news release.
