It’s going to be a cold one, so you’ll want to bundle up if you’re outside today.
News 95.7 meteorologist Richard Zurawski says we’re in for a high around -9 today, but it’ll feel like -20 with the windchill.
Zurawski says we’re lucky not to be getting much snow.
“Things are going to be cold, so we get one half of the winter equation, but it doesn’t look like there’s anything other than flurries,” he said.
People on the streets say they’re prepared for it. Construction worker Gordon says for anyone who has to work outside, long johns aren’t just important.
“Super-important,” he said. “They’re the best things you could ever wear. It’ll be about minus 20, so I’ll have two pairs of them on.”
Justin says layers of sweaters and scarves are important, but so is a big cup of hot coffee.
“Always the biggest size you can get,” he said. “It’s dual purpose: inside-out and outside-in.”
For Mike, the secret to keeping warm is simple.
“Stay home,” he said.
The forecast shows a high of -6 for Friday, rising to 0 by Monday.
