Nova Scotians looking for familiar faces on the Canadian Olympic team will find two.
Dartmouth snowboarder Sarah Conrad is competing in her second Olympics after finishing 15th in Turin four years ago.
She tells the Herald that Olympic experience will help her navigate the chaos a little better this time – but adds she’s expecting more pressure on Canadian athletes because they’re competing at home.
Conrad competes in the half-pipe event on Thursday.
Sidney Crosby takes to the ice with Team Canada when the hockey games begin on Tuesday.
Although he’s represented Canada at the world level, Crosby says playing in the Olympics in Canada will be incredible.
